With fewer control options available, farmers, ranchers, acreage owners, and land stewards, are turning to natural and environmental methods to manage gophers. Encouraging predators like owls, hawks, and foxes, improving pasture health through rotational grazing, and reducing overgrown areas can all help make land less hospitable to gophers. Targeted methods like trapping or fumigation may also be used, but long-term success relies on a combined, ecosystem-based approach.
