Fire Advisory Lifted For Rocky View County
Friday, June 20, 2025
As of Monday, June 23, Fire Services has lifted the fire advisory. Details on burning can be found here: Fire Bans | Rocky View County
_____________________________________________
Due to improving conditions, Rocky View County Fire Services has downgraded the FIRE BAN to a FIRE Advisory for East/West
Rocky View County, effective immediately.
We will continue to monitor conditions and fire risk throughout the County and may update the status as needed. Fire permits will not be issued for any fires, and any outstanding permits will be cancelled. Although conditions have changed with the recent precipitation, we ask for the public’s continued assistance in remaining vigilant when burning under what restrictions allow. If conditions change, the County will continue to assess the conditions and may impose a fire ban at any time.
During a FIRE ADVISORY, all burning and fireworks permits are suspended, and burning is banned, with the following exceptions:
• Indoor household fireplaces
• Incinerators (for farm and acreage use)
• Burning barrels
• Camp stoves (properly attended)
• Barbecues (charcoal briquettes, propane, or natural gas)
• Wood pellet grills
• Propane/natural gas fire pit
• Recreational campfires in an approved burn pit
• Chimeneas
• Fires contained within approved facilities and appliances in designated camping and recreational areas
• Oil well flaring (must register with central fire dispatch at 403-264-1022)
