Madden Fire Station Open House April 3, 2025
Monday, March 17, 2025
Rocky View County is investing in a replacement fire station for the Madden area, replacing the outdated facility that no longer meets current safety, training, and operational needs. In 2024, County Council committed funding for the build, and plans are now underway to finalize station details and timelines. While plans are being finalized for the station, the Madden Fire Services team has temporarily relocated to an ATCO trailer to ensure they can continue training and responding to emergencies.
To keep residents informed and gather feedback, Rocky View County is hosting an open house on April 3 at the Madden Community Hall from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m., where community members can learn more about the project, offer input, and hear the latest updates.
“This is a great opportunity to talk with our residents and hear from them while we plan for the next few decades,” says Rocky View County Fire Chief Ken Hubbard. “This project is moving forward, and this is a good time to hear the community’s needs, priorities, and expectations for fire and emergency response services. We want insights on response times, fire prevention programs, and personal experiences with our services.”
The Madden Fire Station is one of seven within Rocky View County. Operated as a Paid-per-Call station, it relies on community members who respond to emergencies locally and across the county. The new station will better support the dedicated firefighters serving Madden and surrounding areas.
Residents in the Madden and Bottrel areas are encouraged to attend the April 3 open house to learn more and share feedback. An online survey and information page has been created for those who aren't able to attend. Visit engage.rockyview.ca .
