Langdon Quad Ball Park Receives Recognition

The Community Planning Association of Alberta (CPAA) recently announced the results of its inaugural Annual Community Achievement Awards. Rocky View County and the Langdon Community Association received an honorable mention for the Iron Horse Fields Quads Baseball Diamonds project. In 2021, Rocky View County constructed a quad ball diamond facility on the Langdon Joint Use Site. Named as the Iron Horse Fields, they are operated by the Langdon Community Association.

Murphy’s Flats Day Use Area in Northern Sunrise County was the ultimate winner, and an additional honorable mention went to the Municipal District of Lesser Slave River No. 124 for its Landuse Bylaw 2021-17.

The award is intended to recognize, celebrate, and share the success and outstanding and hard work of an individual, team, or organization whose creative ideas and work has positively contributed to community building and the well being in Alberta communities.

The CPAA is an organization dedicated to the promotion of community planning in the Province of Alberta. Through various means, the Association provides a forum for the discussion of community planning-related concepts, ideas, and issues with a view towards solutions.
