Holiday Wishes - Reflecting on 2023

As we approach the end of a busy 2023, I would like to take a moment to look back at the productive achievements we’ve celebrated as a municipality. This Council is committed to upholding the values of our Strategic Plan, and in doing so, we continue to strive for improved customer service, shortened application times, and better communication. I’m proud and grateful for the progress we’ve made together in the last twelve months.
Some of the projects that have been completed in 2023 include our Solar Farm Strategy; an important document that will guide us towards a sustainable future. Our Organization Excellence Strategy is shaping a culture that reflects the values and aspirations of our employees. Our long-term Financial Forecasting will steer us towards a future of continued prosperity and thoughtful growth. The Citizen's Pulse Survey speaks volumes about the trust and confidence you have in us, keeping the lines of communication open, and giving us a platform to understand the resident’s wants and needs. All these strategies, while complex, help guide us to the advancement of our municipality.
This Council continues to work diligently with Administration to bring forward many new and innovative ideas that will guide us into the future, ensuring our sustainability. I would like to thank County Administration for going on this journey of change; we couldn’t do it without their support and guidance.
I am also encouraged by continued collaboration with our neighboring municipalities to ensure a more efficient and effective means of service delivery. These partnerships are vital to ensuring that we stand ready to face any challenge together.
And finally, I would like to thank our residents and businesses for making Rocky View County the place it is. We are lucky to have such a diverse municipality with endless possibilities, and I am proud to call this place my home.
Looking forward to 2024, I hope for more shared successes and collaborative efforts in the coming year.
