County Reviewing Thorlakson Family Farms Development Permit Application
Monday, May 6, 2019
On March 1, 2019, Rocky View County started fining Thorlakson Family Farms $1,500 per day as a result of non-compliance on the Development Permit process for a compost operation located approximately six kilometers northeast of Airdrie.
On March 22, the County received a Development Permit application. Once the County had an application to evaluate, the fines were suspended.
The County’s Planning & Development department is currently reviewing the application. Once the assessment of the application is complete, a report will be presented to Council, as the development authority, for consideration.
At this time, it is anticipated the application will go before Council by late June.
