Overview
This project is to upgrade the Langdon Wastewater treatment Plant and is currently in operation. Existing Sequencing Batch Reactor (SBR) basin was modified to a Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor (MBBR). MBBR technology was selected because the modification could be done within the existing footprint of the SBR basin with an increased treatment capacity of over 3 times than the SBR. Upgrade to MBBR was approved as a pilot project with Alberta Environment and Protected Areas
Project Timeline
The Langdon Wastewater Treatment Plant upgrade Project was completed in 2022 and currently operational.
Latest News
The Langdon Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrade is approaching completion with the final completion testing in Jan. 2023.
