Overview
The Bragg Creek Transfer Site is an active waste and recycling transfer site. In 2020, concerns for site erosion and ongoing site maintenance were reviewed, and action items identified. A staged approach has been applied to the project, to maintain services on the site and provide the upgrades in priority. Work began in the summer of 2021 and all upgrades are anticipated to be completed by the fall of 2023.
The overall scope of the work includes the installation of catch basins and drainage ditches to mitigate site erosion and increase site drainage. Asphalt paving of the user area to increase user ease and access, and to reduce future maintenance costs. Minor grading to increase onsite storage and stabilization of the slope along the east boundary of the user area.
