The Langdon Regional Recreation Site, sometimes called the Langdon Joint Use Site, is a 45 acre parcel of land located in the hamlet of Langdon, located south of Railway Avenue (Township Road 233A) and west of Centre Street (formerly Highway 797). The land is jointly owned by Rocky View Schools and Rocky View County.

Rocky View Schools has identified the site as the location of a future high school. For Rocky View County, the site is slated for a community recreational facility and numerous play fields (baseball, football, and soccer). These various components of the site will be developed in phases over many years, and will ultimately provide educational and recreational amenities to the residents of Langdon and the surrounding areas.

This page will be updated as various phases of the project move forward. The current phase is “Site Preparation,” and you can see the latest update below.

Iron Horse Fields

In 2021, Rocky View County constructed a quad ball diamond facility on the Langdon Joint Use Site. Named as the Iron Horse Fields, they are operated by the Langdon Community Association.
