Rocky View County's Commemorative Program honours loved ones and marks life’s special moments in a lasting and meaningful way. An important date, a personal message, or the name of a loved one can now accompany park benches, rose bushes, and other features in parks and cemeteries across the County.
Each commemorative item available for sponsorship was carefully selected for its charm, durability, and sustainability. This program provides visitors with a tranquil place for reflection, and pays homage to memories and moments in time, while beautifying the County’s rural landscape. Commemorative items include:
Each commemorative item is accompanied by a bronze plaque with a personal message. It can mark the memory of a friend or family member; celebrate a birthday or anniversary; or observe any other significant event.
Enhancing the County
Your donation will be placed in established parks and cemeteries throughout Rocky View County. This will create more inviting outdoor spaces for residents and visitors alike to enjoy. Installation locale will be approved by Parks, Recreation & Community Services. Commemorative items will be installed within one year of receipt of the completed application.
A Lasting Legacy
Upon delivery of the commemorative features, the County will coordinate site preparation and installation at each pre-approved location. Once the installation is complete, you’ll receive a confirmation package of your donation. This package includes a notification letter, a certificate commemorating your sponsorship, and a map of the item’s location.
