Fire in the Symons Valley Road / Mountain View Road Area

UPDATE: Mountain View Road has been inspected and re-opened.
Mountain View Road is closed until further notice from Highway 566 south to Symons Valley Road due to bridge damage from the fire today. Local traffic will be permitted south to the County limit once the fire operation has concluded.
UPDATE: 6:40 p.m. The grass fire near Mountain View Road and Symons Valley Road is contained.
County crews are assisting the City of Calgary in responding to another grass fire in the area of Symons Valley Road and Mountain View Road. Area residents may asked to evacuate on short notice. Please follow the instructions of responders on scene and avoid the area.
An Emergency Reception Centre will be open and ready to receive evacuated residents at:
