Sobeys Customer Fulfillment Centre Coming to the County

Empire and Sobeys Inc. has announced plans to build a state-of-the-art customer fulfillment centre in Rocky View County to support the company’s online grocery home delivery service set to launch in Alberta in 2023. The new centre will create 1,500 jobs in the County and will feature world-leading robotic automated warehouse and home delivery technology to provide a best-in-class customer experience.
This will be the company’s first customer fulfillment centre for home delivery in Western Canada and third in the country. Together with the company’s existing distribution centre in the County, it will meet the growing demand for grocery e-commerce and support an expansion of the company’s presence in the Alberta market.
Economic diversification is a priority for Rocky View County, particularly during these challenging economic times in Alberta.
