Ladies Livestock Lessons

A workshop designed for women involved in or interested in the profession of managing livestock will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Apple Creek Golf Course, Airdrie.

The workshop was developed to encourage and educate women in the business and to facilitate the opportunity to expand their professional network. Workshop involves hands on activities, classroom sessions and the opportunity for women to socialize and connect with other women in the industry. Some of this year’s topics include Social Media for Agriculture, Succession Planning, Grazing Management & Poisonous Plant ID, Animal Farm Animal Care, Hybrid Vigor Scoring, and Hands on Fencing.

The workshop is hosted by the Red Bow Agricultural Partnership (Rocky View County, Wheatland County, Kneehill County, Mountain View County, Red Deer County, MD of Bighorn, Clearwater County).

The cost is $50 per person and includes all sessions, meals, coffee. and snacks. More information and registration is available on Eventbrite.
