Bert Church Live Theatre
Located on the east side of Airdrie next to Genesis Place and East Lake Park, The Bert Church Live Theatre is a fully-equipped, live performing arts facility. The Polaris Theatre
Located in North Rockyview, just minutes from Crossiron Mills, the Polaris Theatre is a fully-equipped performing arts facility with a seating capacity of 250. The Rocky Mountain Symphony Orchestra
Founded in 2016, the Rocky Mountain Symphony Orchestra is an auditioned 45-member professional-level orchestra based at the Polaris Theatre in Balzac, with occasional performances in other county locations such as Bearspaw, Langdon/Chestermere, and Springbank. The orchestra's musicians, a blend of full-time professional musicians, and community players, hail from a wide geographic area encompassing High River to Red Deer, and Canmore to Strathmore. The RMSO performs an average of 12 concerts per season, showcasing national and international soloists. Family-friendly and "not-too-serious", the RMSO prides itself on a casual atmosphere and high-quality music-making. Tickets are required to attend RMSO concerts. Cochrane Ranche Provincial Historic Site
This historic site offers views of the Canadian Rockies and a walking path to the Men of Vision statue with native plants and animals along the way. The Visitor Information Centre located in the Cochrane Ranche is open daily during the summer from mid-May to Labour Day. Iron Horse Park
The miniature trains, track, and landscape at Iron Horse Park represent the Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) from the prairies to the coast. Take the 1.6 km interpretive journey aboard one of the 1/8th scale diesel or steam locomotives at the park and get a feeling of what the railway was like in Western Canada during the pioneer days. Snacks and souvenirs can be found in the full size replica of a CPR station on site. Picnic tables on site provide a place for gatherings.
