Construction of the West Bragg Creek Trail

Location: Along West Bragg Creek Road (Township Road 232) between Range Road 52 & 54; Mountain View Park; Range Road 54 between West Bragg Creek Road & Elk Valley Drive (view map)

Timeframe: April 1 - October 31, 2017

Description: Work includes tree clearing, construction of gravel trail, pedestrian bridge and guardrail. Motorists can expect minimal delays. Please respect all posted signage and watch for workers. This work is being done by contractor Bragg Creek Excavating on behalf of The Greater Bragg Creek Trails Association. West Bragg Creek Recreation Area Improvements

Location: West Bragg Creek within the Alberta Parks Kananaskis Recreation Area (view map)

Timeframe: March 29 to June 30, 2017

Description: Work includes the expansion and paving of the existing parking area with the addition of multiple recreation area user amenities. The access road into the Alberta Parks recreation area will remain open for the majority of the work, however periodic full closures of the access road within the Alberta Environment and Parks jurisdiction can be expected. Motorists and park users can expect minimal delays. Please respect all posted signage and watch for workers. This work is being done by contractor Slimdor Contracting on behalf of Alberta Environment and Parks. Bridge Replacement Work

Location: Bridge on Range Road 260 approximately 800m north of Township Road 264 (view map)

Timeframe: March 28 - April 30, 2017

Description: Work includes existing bridge structure removal and the installation of two new bridge size culverts. Range Road 260 is currently an undeveloped road allowance, therefore the road will be fully closed with access maintained for local traffic only. Motorists can expect minimal delays. Please respect all posted signage and watch for workers. This work is being done by contractor Unsurpassable Construction Ltd. on behalf of Rocky View County. Road Closure: Township Road 240

Location: Township Road 240 between Range Road 284 and Range Road 283 (view map)

Timeframe: March 25 - May 19, 2017

Description: Work includes open trench excavation and installation of a PVC sanitary forcemain, in addition to remediation of the work zone along Township Road 240 within the City of Chestermere. Work will involve a full road closure of Township Road 240 between Range Road 284 and Range Road 283 for the duration of the work, with access within the closure being limited to local traffic only. The designated detour route will be within the City of Chestermere. Motorists can expect minor delays. Please respect all posted signage and watch for workers. This work is being done by contractors Kidco Construction on behalf of the City of Chestermere. Southwest Calgary Ring Road Construction Project

Location: Southwest Calgary bordering Rocky View County (view map)

Timeframe: Early 2017 to Fall 2021

Description: No work on Rocky View County roads is expected at this time, however the impact on area Provincial Highways and City of Calgary roads bordering Rocky View County may impact residents of Rocky View County.
